    Sisters developed around HWY 126. the highway didnt go in after the town sprang up, it was the other way around; and businesses built on the highway because thats where they re most visible. This isn't unique to Sisters. Springfield is built around Main Street ( which is 126 as well), Eugene around 6th street, etc. I agree that the congestion sucks

    Just a tidbit here:When Lane County decided to have PAID commissioners instead of the volunteers they had for years, it was supposed to eliminate the position of county administrator as the commissioners were to take on the duties held by the admin.&nbsp; The commissioners took the duties, but the county admin position still exists all these years ...

    I feel that this is totally justified. It is a club sport, so it is strictly a privilege that the UO provides its students who are not in the athletics program.     All that bike path is, is a million dollar+ access path for crooks to wither get away after stealing from somewhere in the mall, or to break into cars and homes in the neighborhood on the other side after the scum is done breaking into the cars at the mall.&nbsp;&nbsp; Our tax dollars at work yet again.

    The roundabout is not that hard to figure out. Probably the most important thing is to know which lane you need BEFORE you get to it. Doesn't take a genius to do this. It works fine as long as people are smart enough to figure it out.&nbsp; And if you can't, then you certainly shouldn't be in possession of a drivers license. All the wrecks there ...
