    Weather Questions

    Hi Everyone,

This is meteorologist Joseph Calbreath.  I wanted to let you know that if you have any science questions I would be happy to find you the answer.  My expertise is definitely the fields of Meteorology, Climatology and Geography but I'm well versed in most of the other sciences.  I'm also very good at looking up information and see this as a learning opportunity for me.

    Re: Weather Questions

I've been wondering about this for some time, and it seems like maybe you would be a great person to ask this question.  It's kind of a weather question, but kind of not.

I'm wondering about Lahars and if the Eugene/Springfield area has ever had one?  If one of the Sisters became active, could the McKenzie river slide a muddy mess right down on top of us someday?

An ascendant man, living in a degenerate age, MUST, by definition, live in contradistinction to his times.

That is possible but I have never seen any studies showing that it has happened in recent eruptions.  All the most recent eruptions have been lava flows not pyroclastic explosions.
