    Sheldon Lock Down Issue

We've been covering this story heavy for the past couple of days.  We know there are some pretty strong opinions on the actions of what was done, or what should have been done.  What is your opinion on the subject?  Should Sheldon have gone into lockdown?  Was everything done perfectly?  Do you think any changes should be made in the school's policy?

    Re: Sheldon Lock Down Issue

Your Corner user "hpires" left this comment on The Local Buzz.  I thought I would repost it here for everyone to see, in case you missed it there.

"I dont think the school or the police handled the situtation at Sheldon right!! They did not know where the suspect was so they should of had students in lock down most of the day or since they knew before school of what was happening they should of had the machine call parents and have the children stay home! Another thing that was wrong is they hadnt found the suspect they should of never allowed students off campus during lunch!!! Then when they finally went into lock down right after lunch they didnt have the children that had pe outside in the field in the gym they left them outside in the field and students spoted the suspect out in the track field and they allerted police so the students were in close range of the suspect and they could of been hurt. The cops weren't the ones to spot the suspect!! That is scary and angers me knowing my son was outside why the school was in lock down! And they said they didnt spot the student till after lunch but my son said a kid in one of his classes said the suspect was at the school in the morning with a gun. Because the kid talked to him because they were friends so they should of had a lock down since morning they really did risk our childrens lives with their decision!!"
