Saturn Closing Up Shop In Eugene

I just heard that Saturn is closing down and the next nearest dealer for them is Medford.  I bought my Saturn SL (which I love!) brand new off the lot in 2002 (my first new car at 23 I should add) and when I bought it I purchased a lifetime oil change package.  I had my last oil change only a few days ago, but now that the dealer is closing down are they expecting me to drive to Medford to have my oil changed?  This isn't right!  I feel horrible for the employees, many who I have dealt with since I bought my car.  I as the consumer shouldn't get cheated out of something I have already paid for.

In my opinion, these guys should have been shut down years ago.   When I tried to get some service work done on my Saturn there, they were unable to fix the problem but still expected me to pay them full price for the undone repair.  When I told him I wasn't going to pay them anything, because they did not fix my car, they locked it in their garage and refused to give it to me.  I literally had to call the police, and then my attorney to get my car back.  All of this over $200 and some faulty brakes.   I have never before, or since encountered a worse experience with service.  Lithia was certainly no help in the matter either.  They will never receive another dime or referral from me.  I work way too hard for my money to be treated that way.

Did some one say lithia?   That sound's like something they would do.  The people that i am sorry for are the car owner's who have been told they can take their car's to medford. I think that any gm garage could fix the car's.  As for the  "free oil change's"  That's a crock. Nothing in life is free. so unfortunately people are going to have to spend $19.99 and get a quick lube.  As for lithia they are to big for their own good

We reported that Lithia is working out details to keep the service deals intact.  You should contact Lithia to find out more about your specific situation.

your lifetime oil change contract can be used at any Lithia owned dealership.  there are three other stores in the Eugene/Springfield area that will honor thwe contract.  Eugene Dodge 541-343-1700, Eugene Nissan 541-686-2211, and Springfield Toyota 541-747-3374.  All you have to do is show up and they can get all of the information they need from their database.

as for the brake job that was kept over night for payment I'm sure there are other factors involved in that situation.  i have been the manager of the service department at Saturn of Eugene for 6 years now and do not recall that situation.  it is a shame that we are closing and my thoughts go out not only to my displaced customers but for my staff as well.  if anyone has any questions feel free to contact Saturn of Eugene this week at 541-342-6610.

Change your own oil. It's cheaper and fun.
