I feel that this is totally justified. It is a club sport, so it is strictly a privilege that the UO provides its students who are not in the athletics program. These club sports have a set of rules that you must sign and agree to abide by and clearly state the consequences of not following the rules, which include a code of conduct.
This group has had numerous past transgressions, and had been warned that any further incidents may result in being barred from future competition. They were told and they still did what they did. The UO had no choice but to follow up and implement the ban. It is only fair to the other students in club sports who follow the rules.
These are young adults who need to be taught that they need to play by societies rules or they are not going to succeed in life, They are spoiled brats with a sense of entitlement becasue mommy and daddy always bail them out or let them off the hook. I just graduated from the UO and these young adults made me want to smack the smirks right off of their faces the entire time I was there.
I would add that the Police escort of nude bicyclists is not a comparable event as they were not endorsing it, they were protecting the idiots.
also, no school allows nor endorses any nude runs. the students are acting out on their own against the wishes of the schools.
