McCains VP has 1000 times more class than Joe "the big mouth" Biden.
Had Hillary been the VP, BJ Bill would be running things..Bill is such a loser.

Re: Does McCain's pick for VP change your vote?

I was going to sit out the election this year since I didn't like the choices being offered at all. I didn't know who Palin was until Friday, but I like what I see in her so my vote is now going to McCain.

Re: Does McCain's pick for VP change your vote?

As I mom, I wonder who is raising her kids?  Will her 17 year old be raising 2 babies?  One of which has special needs?  That bothers me.  I don't care who you are, teenagers are not prepared or ready for that!   What bothers me even more is when she was talking about how proud she was of her son who was being deployed on the 11th to go fight this war, she actually seemed excited about it...  While I would be extremely proud of my son or daughter for making the decision to enlist, I could never be excited about it. That is very concerning to me.  It seemed very easy for her to send her own son to war, so it's going to be really easy sending total strangers.....

So far, I am very unimpressed by Sarah Palin.  I am excited to hear her speak tonight.

Granted, she was president of the PTA! -that's no easy task! Big Smile

    Hi Bluecup,

I am sure she has a support system in place for her children. Most of them are nearly grown. What about her husband - Why can't he take care of them? Who is going to take care of Obama's kids? Probaby his wife.

As for being excited about her son going to war...I doubt that. I can tell you as a mom who watched her son leave for the Navy, there are many feelings going on inside but I only wanted him to see me share in his excitement. I know she worries and will miss him greatly just as I do mine. She will cry later in private.

I for one am very impressed with Sarah Palin. She is the down to earth, not handed everything in life, hard working kind of person we need running this country!

Re: Does McCain's pick for VP change your vote?

Considering the nominees from the "big 2" parties; Sarah Palin is the most acceptable offered.  This fact makes McCain's advanced age a sizable plus.  If they get elected, but he must step down for some age related reason - that would be the best possible senario.

Still think Barack Hussein will win this election; but Palin gives me a thin reed of hope to hold on to.

Re: Does McCain's pick for VP change your vote?

I don't see it, looks like she has a lot of issues. I mean if she is using yahoo email to circumvent freedom of information act and she does not understand basic pass word security. Well you tell me.

McCain picked her because he knew that all of the undecided women  and  pro lifers would go to his side. It Is that Simple.

So judging by her qualifications Kitty Piercy would be a good choice for VP. Oh, that's right Kitty Piercy can't see Russia from her house.

I may just vote for McBush so that the NeoCons will have to deal with this Econonic mess that they created.

Re: Does McCain's pick for VP change your vote?

Yeah, that's why McCain picked her, and Obama picked Biden because he is an older, stable, white guy. Those are the sort of reasons why EVERY vice-president candidate is picked: "Will this person gain me votes?" is the only question asked.  The other reason is a trick, and Obama is falling into the trap - the democrats are spending their time attacking Palin, while the Republicans spend their time attacking Obama. You vote for the Presidential candidate, so Palin attacks are a waste of time.

Re: Does McCain's pick for VP change your vote?

This choice speaks volumes about the party, and the person.

She was not McCain's choice. It was purely political, and he was told who would be his running mate. The choice is an insult to every American. The Palin bubble has already popped.

Here are some links that backup, and explain my thinking.

Why don't you post your thoughts instead of posting a bunch of links. I have a slow dial up connection, you tube takes 30 min for a 3 min vid. I would like to hear your thoughts but I'm not gonna go off this site to do so.

Re: Does McCain's pick for VP change your vote?

    MarkL,

Palin was not McCain's choice. Choosing her was purely political. The choice was a political tactic, to create a wedge amongst voters. McCain was told who would his running mate would be. His choice is Lieberman, but once he became the Party representative, he has to follow orders from those in the Party that have more power.

Choosing her is an insult to every American.

The Palin bubble has already popped.

Re: Does McCain's pick for VP change your vote?

I agree 100% , same goes for Bush. He was a know nothing, looser oil buisness man before the party picked him to be the FigureHead. I think that Cheney is more the 'decider' in the Bush admin. I feel the same way for the Dems also. it does not matter who is the currant figurhead, the real power is hidden behind layers of Bureaucracy.
