A 200 year old American Argument comes to an End.

You'll notice that I'm not using the IMHO for this post, as this is simple fact time.

The 200+ year old argument about the Second Amendment to the Constitution came to an end yesterday: The argument has been (basically) about whether said Amendment was referring to an INDIVIDUALS  right to bear arms, or to (basicallly) The National Guard. After 200 years of dodging the issue, the US Supreme Court yesterday, (While striking down a Washington DC law banning the possession of handguns in the home), CLEARLY  said the law was incompatible with the RIGHT OF THE INDIVIDUAL TO KEEP AND BEAR ARMS, AS SET FORTH IN THE SECOND AMENDMENT. The Justices also indicated this right was tied to the right of Self Defense, not to "hunting".  The NRA is understandably estatic, liberals everwhere knash their teeth in frustration. But this is a done deal folks, like it, hate it, it doesn't matter what your opinion is - the Supreme Court has spoken.
