No life form has a choice as to what form it will take. No life form has a choice as to weather or not it wants to exist. All life forms are ultimately a slave to the demands that it's form requires of it. Every life on earth follows a very narrow path that it's form demands of it. All creatures are therefore not in control of their life's path. We are all slaves to the little buggery DNA that has forced us to exist. There is absolutely no purpose to life. The demands of the tiny little code of life is what controls your existence, not weather or not you want to live or want to work or want to eat. The only reason that you or any other creature exists is because the little string of DNA has demanded that you came into being and demands that you reproduce your own DNA. You don't reproduce because you want a family, you reproduce because you are programmed to reproduce. If this primary demand did not exist, no life would exist. Life exists because the primary urge from the most basic molecular apparatus of life is to reproduce it's self, otherwise it would not exist. The DNA does not even care what shape it's life form takes, as long as it is capable of reproducing a copy of it's DNA. It is the bizarre fate of evolution that randomly evolves into a life form that can live long enough to reproduce which causes the millions of life forms in existence. That is all life is, over and over billions of copies of millions of shapes, what is the result, nothing. After a creature or plant reproduces and ensures the survival of it's offspring, the primary life force does not care what happens to the adult life. The adult will usually go on to experience a horrible death from some other life form that is fulfilling it's demand, a virus or bacteria may eat you alive from the inside out. I am not going to try to elaborate on the endless variety of activities that the human is desirous of doing which might look like exceptions to the rule. To simplify, it is all to one end, the desirability to partner and reproduce, and the need to do what is necessary to survive. To sum up, there is no ultimate purpose to life, we are slaves to the shape or life form that we live in. The demand of the DNA to reproduce is the only reason life exists, for without this demand, the demand its self would not exist.
