BIKE RIDERS AND THEIR REQUEST FOR MORE SPACE

On many roads we have a 3' or so shoulder for bike riders. Over and over again I see bikes riding on the white line or almost on the white line instead of on the far right side of the bike lane. A week ago I was driving on Marcola road going to Eugene and right where the weigh station is there was a bike rider on the white line weaving into and out of the traffic lane. Right there on the right was about 50' of pavement going into the weigh station. There were two cars coming in the other lane and we all met at the same time. Even though there was many feet of pavement on the right, the fool bike rider weaved into my lane about 2' and I had to crowd across into the other lane right into the two approaching cars. Almost one dead bike rider and almost one or two cars in the ditch. Some of you bike riders are retarded or arrogant or just stupid, get over as far as you can in your lane that the taxpayers have provided for you. From what I have seen, if you get hit and killed it is most likely your own fault.
