I to have suffered from this department in Oregon, Linn county though, not Bend.  I was an actual licensed foster parent at the time, was accused of physical abuse on my 15 and 16 year old stepsons whom I had raised from the time they were 3 and 5.  it destroyed my life, I lost my house due to my lawyes fees,  fortunately my husband and daughters stood by me as did my previous, (now adult) foster children.  This did not stop the state from dragging me though the mud, destroying my confidence as a parent, even as a good person.  It has been two years and two months since it all happened, all legal charges were dropped but DHS still found my accusations as "founded".   It is a tragedy and there is little anyone can do about it if they decide to get you.  I had statements from my stepsons friends saying that they never saw any signs of abuse.  There was absolutely no evidence but they still ruined my life and each day I resolve to put it back together.  I am sorry for your son, I have been there.  Patti
