    Dangerous Delta Highway Interchange

A life was lost today in an accident on the Delta Highway.  It seems to be a very dangerous place, where Delta intersects with Beltline.

Post comments or ideas you have on improving this area below.

    Re: Dangerous Delta Highway Interchange

I have lived on N Delta Hwy north of Beltline for nearly five years and during that time traffic has increased dramtically due to the development of the Delta Oaks shopping area and residential contruction near Ayers Road.. No improvemnets to the interchancge have been made during that time and just getting from one highway to the other is very risky business. I believe tha the single most important factor to make this very dangerous interchange safer would be to prohibit any further commercial development until the construction of safe on and off ramps is completed. The accident this morning is no surprise to those of us who use this interchange almost daily.  John Glancy

    Re: Dangerous Delta Highway Interchange

Looking at the map of Eugene, a somewhat natural (at least partially) solution to the gridlock of Beltline would be to put in a bridge across the river from River Road to Valley River.  That would at least give those going to Valley River--which is a lot of people daily--a direct route option.
