    Star [*] My Sincere Condolences to Debra Smith and Kenneth Walton's Family

    Dear Debra, and Walton Family;

    I am truly sorry for your loss.  It is not easy to lose someone who has been a long friend and a newly discovered companion.  I know about loss, too many times I am afraid, but with loving kindness of other's you will get through this.  I also mean this for You, Walton family, as well.  You have lost a beloved one as well, but he did a courageous thing, and lived his life, it would appear, as a man who did not let bounderies define him.

    Years ago, I had a classmate who also suffered from Muscular Dystrophy, as did all 7 of his siblings--3 of whom had already succumbed to the disease a few years before I met him, and he had already been showing the physical signs of the disease--the difficulty in walking, his writing, and soon other parts were starting to go.  One day on the way to class, he came in and was a bit disheavaled, and we got it out of him that a small bunch of young, just out of H.S. boys, had jostled him on the rampway, and almost pushed him over the edge, all the while thinking it was funny to pick on the "cripple".  I was incensed.  But he took it in a different way.  He felt sorry for them that they were the more handicapped than he, because of their inability to see beyond their own small world.

    So, Debra and Walton family, Kenneth was a brilliant and courageous and wonderful and beyond what many of us could even hope to achieve in our lifetimes (though I sensed from your interview, Debra, that you too, hold a special and precious light within you).  I hope this post will help you in some little way.

    May all that are in the Heaven's look down on you all, and be gracious with you all.
