    State of the City 2007

What really good things is the city doing right now?  What should be the priorities for the coming year?

Did you watch, listen, or read what the mayor had to say?   What do you think about her comments?

Why do you presume that Eugene is "the city?" How about Cottage Grove, Springfield, Creswell, Oakridge, Junction City, Florence, Veneta, Elmira, Harrisburg, Pleasant Hill, and the others? For those of us who don't call Eugene home the assumption of Eugene's ownership of the distinction of being "the city" is insulting.

Ouch.  I'm sorry you thought I was referring to Eugene as "the city".  I assure you, with all honesty, that I wasn't.  If you look at my Local Buzz blog post, I referred to the Mayor's speech as "State of the City: Eugene".

This forum post is actually inside Townhalls >> Eugene.  If you look at the top of the page you can see that.  I can see how the mistake could have been made though, since we are now showing the most active forums on the KMTR.com front page, and it just shows the title of the post and not which forum it's posted in.

So I agree, if I had posted "State of the City 2007" in, say, News of the Day, that would have been disrespectful to our members from all the Oregon cities.  But I think the title goes well inside the Eugene Townhall.  You can see a list of all of our different Forum subjects by clicking here.

    Buzz -

no apology needed! You're right, I found the topic in the Active column which is what led to my confusion.  Thanks for clearing this up.

Well, i think that the City Council should all be laid off, for good.
    And
The DownTown rennovation plans should be revamped, and compleetly redisinged.
