Does Reality exist and if so; how do you define it?

(A number of my next few posts might be considered Philosophical in nature.  Religion and Philosophy continually intertwine, so I hope I don't presume too much to put such posts here)

The longer I've looked at this "Reality" stuff....the more specious it appears. (And I'm looking at the starting point of Descartes "I think therefore I am") I see that entity has a strong bias to believe that whatever world it is in at the moment is "Reality" and any other interpretation is absurd. If you dream - you are in Reality. If you are "awake" then this world is Reality and the "dream" was just a dream. If we pass out or are under the affect of a drug - that world is the real one until we happen back here to "Reality". People die around us in this world - and we are not surprised - like apparently Reality is something we can check out of. But if Reality is Reality how is this possible. It's Reality for crying out loud.

After long thought, I'm pretty sure that Reality isn't what we commonly hold it to be. And if there is a Reality - this isn't it. Maybe when we die it will be like the end of a movie. We will suddenly "remember" ourselves and go on with our real life. Right now we are just caught up with the plot of this illusion.

But maybe there isn't a Reality at all. And if that is true, adjusting our perspective a bit, ALL WORLDS become Reality but it has no substance. Perhaps there is no matter.

Do you have a take on Reality?

An ascendant man, living in a degenerate age, MUST, by definition, live in contradistinction to his times.
