Are my wife and I the only ones who dislike this feature on 1100 o'clock newscast?  I seems as though the talents of the staff could be used for something more productive than dressing up this dog in a different outfit each night. 

You are missing the point!

Helmsly is a wonderful addition. Who would not enjoy watching this cute dog with him owner, Brent. There are allot of people who miss him on the 6am news. They are just giving us something to smile about. This is small town news and hopefully will always stay this way.

As it has always been, Eugene with all of its hate & ridicule, I find it wonderful that I can settle at the end of the day with a smile & chuckle in my soul after viewing Helmsly dressed in an outfit for just a second or 2. 

He & Brent are a delight to the 11 pm weather news & especially when Brent shares the anchor chair.
