Yes - you don't think it really happens. Only parents who actually abuse their children whine. Only parents accused of hurting their child complain. But, what about those of us parents who never harmed our child, or any other? What about those of us parents who are not even accused of harming a child? What then? Why would DHS/CPS get involved?

In May of 2007, in response to a false allegation by the police that I must still be faced with in court(where there is no real evidence to say that I saw the ever dreaded, no-no word, child pornography on a computer and am now a monster in the face of everyone who's sold on the media - except those who know me and the truth - oh yeah, and was NEVER arrested because of the lack of evidence that will rely entirely on a scary, ghost story to mislead jurors, hoping that they media-hype created on this issue will cover up the facts that could otherwise provide my innocence), DHS began their investigation into this, single father. Aha! A man - so, I must be guilty. Oh, c'mon - don't be sarcastic in your reply - because THAT'S HOW I am being treated! Well, did they find any evidence of abuse? Nope. Neglect? Nope? Harm in any way? Nope. Should have been end of story, right?

Nope.

DHS/CPS has OAR rules governing what they do. They must use a GAP assessment form, complete a CPS assessment, and even if they determine a person is guilty, then proceed to find every way possible to return a child home, and if they don't - there must be a DARN good reason. But, of course, it took FOUR months, out of the 7 days (maximum), permitted by OAR laws for CPS to perform their assessment. Again, no one ever accused me of hurting my son, and there was no reason to believe it. So, they sent me to a clinic that is run by a man who has repeatedly presented himself in courtrooms as a 'doctor,' presented psychological profiles that he is not licensed or qualified to present, and has only been called on it by a few who were able to later find out - HE'S NOT A PSYCHOLOGIST! Well, OAR laws allow DHS to get a psychology evaluation. The evaluation they sent me to wasn't a psychology evaluation, but a traumatizing event I was forced to undergo that will leave me with nightmares for the rest of my life. Now - DHS has already violated multiple OAR laws, but next comes the so-called, 'doctor,' who is violating multitudes of state and criminal laws - and exceeds the boundaries of his evaluation to then state that not only am I a 'threat of harm,' to my own son, but all children and have probably been dangerous to children in the past.

Wait a sec? Didn't psychologists - or even, 'specialists,' who weren't doctors have to adhere to a principal of ethics that prevents them from fabricating facts and making up false reports that they didn't even use any scientific methods to determine?? Well, why should this guy adhere to any level of ethics - after all, he's helped falsely imprison many, many people (and yes, it's on record and proven), but abused his position to further his career by attacking licensed psychologists, falsely representing himself as more qualified and further condemning MORE people - AND MORE children! But - DHS wouldn't buy that, right? WRONG. DHS waited for his report - knowing that it would come back against me (although I forget to mention I passed all the physical exams and polygraphs proving my innocence), and THEN took my son, and for his best interest, sent him to my mother. But, here's where the real mistake was made - I complained. Yup, I wrote the director and codirectors of DHS who then used their position to help the caseworker get her vengeance (as I quoted to the directors, that the caseworker was violating OAR laws and endangering children).

So, in comes the caseworker, takes my son and gives him to his biological mother who has been absent for 7 years (abandoned him when he was 1), further fabricates lies, lies to courts, breaks OAR laws requiring them to try and see if my son can be returned home, completely circumventing that, literally SILENCING a judge in a court room to prevent me from presenting evidence of their lies, and then later admitted that they knew that their actions were causing my son extreme, emotional trauma and abuse (and yes, I have it recorded). They admitted they knew I hadn't abused him and weren't even worried I would - just that the 'threat of harm,' decided by the so-called, 'doctor,' was really, all they needed [to break the law, obviously]. And so, I've spent months trying to stop them, only to have my son's CASA worker, tell my family that once DHS takes a child that they will, NEVER give him back, to have DHS lie to me and my child causing him trauma and abuse that I can prove OVER and OVER again, having my son's biological mother neglecting my child SO badly that she has been sending him to school in soiled clothing risking E-Coli bacteria exposure and threatening his life, lying to him in detremental ways such as telling him that I have moved and his home and things are gone or that his kitty is gone and he will never see him again (the kitty my son had raised for a year, on his own and cared for and is sick over), and you can see the red circles under his eyes, see his continuing decline in school and social activities and know that other abuses are going on.

But - will anyone help? Nope - a public defender assigned to me who doesn't approve of single fathers, told me I should just, 'step out of the way and let his mother take him,' and who I now have to let abuse her position and force me to handle my case on my own just so I can make one last effort. The Governor and Senators - all of them, say, too bad. No response from the Attorney General, no response from the authorities - nothing. And, why? For the most part - because the media has trained the public to believe that anyone with child porn on their computer is a monster - and while that may be true to an extent, what they have FORGOTTEN to mention - is that it only applies when the computer wasn't HIJACKED and there is PROOF that it was!

So, down goes my son. Down goes a father's promise to protect him and care for him. Another statistic to add to the TENS OF THOUSANDS being wracked up by DHS. Oh yeah - the head director quit in 2007 - why? Because, as she puts it - she hopes now the state will pay attention and they can get away from the Federal report card of doing a, 'D,' (WAY below average) level job in child protection both in protecting abused children and placing them - including NOT taking away healthy children from healthy families). And, you can take the time to look it up, although I can quote multiple court cases now where this has happened repeatedly - but DHS has NO evidence of abuse, no VALID report of abuse (just the report that says I should stay away from kids --- but, no real reason 'why,' cause even the evaluator couldn't make up that many lies), a declining health of a wonderful, little boy - and rather than deal with it, they are AGAIN violating MORE OAR laws and trying to force the custody that I've had for 8+ years over to my son's biological mom. That will alleviate them of responsibility, and they can blame her when it continues to go wrong.

And, every day, every night, every minute is a nightmare. Every second of my life is torrential fear and concern. I see my son [maybe, if I'm lucky] twice per week. They won't let me see him without being frisked, and sealed containers with food, that I bring in for snacks, or sealed containers with a small gift, that I bring in for him, being torn through and examined. And, we sit behind a mirror like caged animals being watched. And no one helps. The media doesn't cover it - and I don't know why. What if we educated the people as to what DHS is doing? What if there were a story that DHS couldn't validate, verify, prove or back up that would PROVE the horrors that DHS is wreaking upon innocent children? What if there were a horror story of some computer-monster (like I'm being accuse of), that suddenly turned out to be such a farce that the public had a chance to be outraged and DEMAND change? What if we used the NEWS, to acutally educate people and report both sides of the story? Well, that would be a change, wouldn't it? Of course, I'm in Bend - and our NEWS doesn't exist. Help over here, doesn't exist. And DHS keeps hurting children, innocent families keep getting destroyed and everyone turns a blind eye to the truth - ONLY - when they know they are in a position to stop it, and don't.

From one who has lost hope and wonders if these are the last words I shall get to say, if these last few months of hell of my life will also be the last - for I have been condemned to death. Any father, who is truly a father, who has been taken away from the child he loves and has sworn to care for - is nothing. And, from my son, who cannot speak, for he too, like me, has been silenced - and cries out for them to let him come home, but no one listens, only lies and forces him to submit -

I know nothing of web design and my son has walked me through every step of the phase. I to have suffered from this department in Oregon, Linn county though, not Bend.  I was an actual licensed foster parent at the time, was accused of physical abuse on my 15 and 16 year old stepsons whom I had raised from the time they were 3 and 5.  it destroyed my life, I lost my house due to my lawyes fees,  fortunately my husband and daughters stood by me as did my previous, (now adult) foster children.  This did not stop the state from dragging me though the mud, destroying my confidence as a parent, even as a good person.  It has been two years and two months since it all happened, all legal charges were dropped but DHS still found my accusations as "founded".   It is a tragedy and there is little anyone can do about it if they decide to get you.  I had statements from my stepsons friends saying that they never saw any signs of abuse.  There was absolutely no evidence but they still ruined my life and each day I resolve to put it back together.  I am sorry for your son, I have been there.  Patti

Have you contacted your State Congressman or Senator in Washington DC? Have you contacted Lars Larson to see if he would be willing to take this on over his show ? This is incredible & absolutely digusting that DHS is allowed to get away with this. The case workers & supervisors who do this should be arrested & put in jail. This is not the only state that does this but this must end. Someone needs to be accountable. I will go to the website soon & read all of this.. If I can figure out anything else that can be done them I will let you know.

Actually, it just got worse. In the background of all of this happening, we just learned that DHS, as we were told when they first gave my grandchild to his mother but refused to believe it, that they have been working on giving her full custody of him. This week, after 6 months of complaining, he is getting reassigned new public defenders, because it seems that the pd in the dependency matter, may have withheld paperwork or at least failed to let him know about any paperwork. DHS has lied, the mom has lied, and while my son will try to fight on his own to stop the custody order that has both terminated his parental rights and given the absentee mom custody (the same one who Abandoned him when he was only 1 years old and has been around maybe 20 times in 7 years), it seems that DHS has the ability to operate on a lie - without any validation to the lie - and the ability to stop the falsely accused from presenting facts, and now, I may never see my grandchild again. The pain has grown so severe, that my son's narcolepsy is severely crippling him, and my chest pains have become so severe that I'm losing time at work and have now been into the emergency room.

We contacted Senator Nancy Schaffer, and she offered her support through the report she did, but that is all the help we've received. I issued out a news report to every newspaper and tv station in Oregon, the attorney general and every official, public representative in Oregon. And, again - no result. It seems as though, nobody will respond or help. My son is handwriting another article that I will publish on the website very soon, detailing what we think, in support of Senator Schaffer's report, is evidence of a child marketing scheme here in Oregon. Nothing else makes sense. They are supposed to protect children. Sure, if my son was guilty, then I would personally take my grandchild away from him first, and i would understand this. But, there's no proof. The court case will be entirely circumstantial, and should he still be victorious, his son will be in the custody of his mother, and then what? What about their lives? What about the time lost and the separation? What about the abuse she has put him through already, how much more of that will continue?

I fear, that if there is no help soon, that our cause will fall through the cracks like so many others. But, for my son, I fear the most. Losing his child, is the end for him. He has no reason to fight for anything. He told me, that if he can't be a father, and his circle is forever shattered, then what has he to fight for. I have given him all the arguments to get him to keep fighting, but even I, am beginning to lose heart. Is this really it? Is this how the system works? I'm afraid so. And, for my son, should he no longer care enough to fight his criminal case, as a mother, I face losing a grandson, and a son, and it's horrible. If custody should go to anyone, it's to me (and my two sons)- the only family my grandbaby has known in the last 8 years of his life other than his father. That would be the least intrusive and most supportive act for my grandchild the State could pursue.. as the laws state. But, noone will even allow me to get involved or help, no matter how much I raise my voice.

Thank you for posting this important blog space in order to make more people aware of what is going on in our country and around the world. As well I want to thank all of you who took the time to watch what is a very difficult film to watch. I made it that way because of how hard it was for those children to have had to live those lives and to have been forced to die the way they were forced to die and what they endured. This not the whole story by a long shot. There is a full length film being made right now, "In The Best Interests of the Children." That film documents and details the corruption within CPS, the family courts and the attorneys assigned to "represent" the parents. It also shows the phony "psychologists" who are not even licensed to be able to cut a dog's hair and how CPS and the courts use those paid for hit men to destroy families. It looks into how CPS is destroying Native American families and how they violate the Indian Child Welfare Act and allow white people to adopt Native American babies.  As well, how attractive blonde children are taken from parents and given to families of state officials so those families don't have to wait like all others who want to adopt. Stories fully investigated where judges sentenced children to group homes, owned by the judges and those judges don't allow the children to be represented by attorneys. It will exposed the alteration or changing of transcripts from court cases, which are going to appeal and the involvement of the Attorney General's offices in some sates and their zeal to win cases at any cost. There is a lot more on those AGs.  How CPS controls the various state legislators and that is due to the matching funds wherein the states receive three federal dollars for every state dollar they give CPS. The film will provide even more shocking details about the murders of the children shown in the short film and will expose even more cases of the same type of murders, plus torture, rape of little children and the involvement of CPS in too many of those rapes, abuses and murders or deaths due to neglect.  It will update the retaliation against some of those people who appeared in the short film by the courts and CPS and how those brave people continue to fight.  Most importantly, the full length film, with the help of caring, current legislators, attorneys, doctors and former CPS caseworkers will provide a workable solution to all of the problems associated with CPS and there is nothing CPS can do to stop that solution, nothing any legislative body can do to stop it or any lobbyists can do to stop it. It doesn't require any donations, zero, zippo, nada, honestly nothing! You will not be asked to write letter or protest and march as that is joke to CPS, but the proposed solution will handle the problems of CPS  once and for all.  Please watch for that film and in the meantime, please try and get this short film out to as many people as you can, politicians, media people, talk show host of all stripes and keep increasing the public awareness. These CPS creatures can only operate in darkness and shadows. Let's shine the strong light of day on them.  Your help is certainly acceptable to us. You will start seeing the short film in film festivals this winter across the country.

I know this was posted a little over a year ago, but I happened to come across this article tonight- it intrigued me.  I agree that it is possible that the state, any state, can be misled by what others may say and target the wrong parent, which in turn, can scar the good parent for the entirety of his/her life.  I have seen cases where the good parent goes to the police to report true abuse towards the children by the other parent and instead of the police believing him/her, they believe the abuser, and then fabricate stories amongst themselves that the good parent is a whack job and an abuser. Who are people going to believe, the loving parent or the police force?Now this is not to say every single police officer does the wrong thing, most do the right thing, but every once in a while you may see one that chooses to overlook the truth.(I want to make it clear that I am pro police and pro government but have seen a few instances where mistakes have been made, causing the good parent his/her reputation and good-standing). Then the one who reported the abuse is watched, so to speak, for the rest of his/her life.  I have also come across cases where people with power have wrongly slandered certain people about their personal lifestyles, that they were doing and participating in obscene and possibly illegal activities 'on the side", yet there was never any proof of any money being paid, no one ever joined any vulgar activity nor actually participated nor downloaded any such thing, but that's the word that went around, making others leery of that person as a parent and as a citizen.  It is very, very sad and so unfair.
