    More Crime in Lane County

The Oregon Criminal Justice Commission, the agency charged with advising the governor and the legislature on Oregon criminal justice issues, recently completed it's analysis on the growing Lane County crime problem. As your public safety officials have been telling you for years, while crime has been DE-creasing in Portland and Salem, it has been IN-creasing in Eugene-Springfield-Lane.

Check out how your crime and your staffing compares with the rest of Oregon, the most anemic public safety jurisdiction in the west. Lane County is actually closing on Marion County, the gang-infested home of the Oregon State Pen and two other correctional facilities. Unbelievable.

According to Eugene Police, the worst of your crime increase, particularly armed robbery and other violent crime, has occurred over the last year, and the criminal justice commission hasn't reported on that yet.

Re: More Crime in Lane County

We need to get more tasers in our county in order to combat this increase in violence.   It is good to see this past week that the Eugene Police Department is going forward to arm all of its officers with Tasers.   This is something that we all need to support and encourage.

It is also perfectly legal for civilians to buy and carry Tasers.  So I urge every adult in Lane County to buy a Taser, and carry it concealed wherever you go.  I know a mail order firm in Spokane where I purchased my Taser that is selling the Deluxe Civilian model for only $299, including both free shipping and a free pepper spray weapon too.  That way, once you tase someone and while they are writhing in agony on the ground from the electrocution, you can then cover them with pepper spray too, and thus double their torment.  If you buy a Taser, be sure to get this Deluxe model that includes the laser aiming sight, as well as the built-in flashlight.

Here is a link to their website:

If we literally flood Lane County with Tasers, word will spread, and criminals will want to avoid coming to our area.  A lot of the worse crime here is done by transients and outsiders.
