I know our news department has covered this story a few times already, but I thought I'd bring it up in the forums (since I just mowed my lawn).
Three lawn mowers in my neighborhood have bit the dust in the past year, and many and blaming the ethanol that is now put in our gasoline. A quick search on Google brought me to this MSNBC story from last August
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/25936782/.
Are you aware that some gas stations now sell "Clear Premium" gas which is ethanol free? I bought some today for my lawn mower at the
Jasper Market, and I have heard that
Mathers Market up the McKenzie Hwy also sells it.
I spoke with the gas station attendant and she told me they get a lot of people asking for the Clear Premium when the weather is nice. She also said they are allowed to put it in gas cans, in motorcycles, and in boats, but are not allowed to put it into cars/trucks.
It cost me about $2.99 a gallon, but is worth it if it doesn't ruin my lawn mower. Any one know of other gas stations that sell it (perhaps they all do and I'm just ignorant)?
