There is a newly formed organization in the Coquille Valley area. It is dedicated to raising reward funds to be offered to help solve unsolved crimes in the surrounding communities. The membership is open to all individuals and businesses and it is free to join. If you can't attend monthly meetings or help with fundraising events, you can still be a participant on the website forums. It is a great way to offer support to victims' families (they visit often), communicate with members, give suggestions, or exchange ideas.
Right now the group is focusing on raising money for the reward fund in the case of Leah Freeman. She was murdered in Coquille, OR on Jun. 28, 2000, and her case is unsolved. The group is also working to publicize the case of Jeremy Bright, who disappeared from Myrtle Point, OR on Aug. 14, 1986 and his case is still unsolved also.
Please visit www.cvcrimestop.com to learn more about this organization and see how you can help. Thank you for caring.
