I'm in favor of taser usage by law enforcement. However, it should be used with descretion. If someone is totally "out of control"  -- yes.  Too many officers have been hurt because they can't get the perp under control.  If they can't control the scene, it could be deadly for all parties.  Does an officer know the taser may be fatal to a perp -- no.  But then again, why put yourself in a position to have a taser used on you.  I put myseft in the shoes of the officer.  What would I do in a particular situation.  If I had a taser -- I'd use it -- no question.  It's him or me.
