Bobby Greens recall effort:
Why Bobby Green first and not the other two commissioners. First, Bobby Green is the only one eligible at this time. The other two commissioners wont be eligible until July of this year. Second, when we did the petition signing on the Lane county income tax. Thousands of voters asked us, were is the recall I want to sign it. We explained at that time we weren’t sure if we wanted to do a recall. But after all the phone calls asking us to please recall those county commissioners. We looked into the possibility of doing it. So myself and two other individuals filed for recall on county commissioner Bobby Green. Some people say this is a misuse of the recall process; I have to argue this point. This is not an effort to destroy the commissioners or a lynch mob to get back at the commissioners. We are people that are sick and tried of our county government abusing us repeatedly. We have been beaten up on this tax issue twelve different times. Then they had the guall to enact an income tax without the vote of the people. Bobby Green has been a commissioner for twelve years and has not made on effort to do anything about our tax issues except for putting an income tax upon the people. They have known for years they were going to lose the timber money from the federal government. But they have waited until now to do something about it. Of course now we are in an emergency crisis of losing that money and putting our county in jeopardy. They say there will be 248 jobs cut in the county to balance the budget. So instead, lets tax 327,000 Lane county people to retain those 248 employees of Lane County. I think its make more sense to let go 248 employees then to take money from 327,000 citizens. We are going to make our lane county commissioners responsible and accountable for their actions. People are tried and want some kind of change in the way our politicians conduct them selves in office. Yes I did move here from Nevada back in 2004, but I was raised in the northwest and lived in Tacoma Washington were I graduated from Stadium high school. I move to Nevada to work, because in the 80s job were hard to come by. All that said, I’m still a red blooded American that love’s his country and is tried of all the politicians not working for the people. We need to stand up and take back our government that waste our hard earned tax money on projects that don’t even benefit most of us. I hope the lane county commissioners are listening to us. We the people, by the people and for the people have had enough of this game called of politics. For further information contact us at www.wesaidno.net
